We do just daily backup using pg_dump. Our config files are centrally
managed by puppet (
http://www.puppetlabs.com/) si it's not necessary to
do any backups. But we also have two copies of database synchronized
online using slony (
http://www.slony.info/) so in case of crash we can
just switch database servers.

Are there any best practices on how to backup fred ?
Im actually thinking about the data in the postgresql database, which are
changing every day.
For example is it enough to make a postgresql dump, or are there other
things to think about, for example config files etc. ?
regards
Peter
