Hello list,
anyone can point me to documentation or manual what is right way to update
slaves. What I want to is when I change record X on master that slaves also
pick that change without me manualy have to do this.
My configuration is OK as on initial zone transfers slaves got data/zones
OK.
I tried
knotc reload
knotc flush
knotc refresh
and restarting knotc service.
On all this there was nothing in syslog and slaves are not updating
ty.

First of all, you have to make sure that you increase the serial number
in the SOA record on the zone when you make any change to the zone on
the master. After editing your zone and saving it, you have to run:
knotc reload
This will reload the changed zone. If you have setup notify correctly in
your knot.conf, then your master should send notify messages to the
slaves, and they will fetch a new copy of the zone. If you haven't
configured notify, then the slaves will eventually also update
themselves, based on the refresh timer value in your zone's SOA record.

Hi Amar,
could you show us your configuration and relevant logs? You can send it off-list to
knot-dns(a)labs.nic.cz if you don't want to do it in public.
Just a rule of thumb - check notify-out[1] configuration and any errors you find in the
log.

Well.. shame on me. I did not changed serial number of SOA, now when I did
everything seems to be OK. But still.. there is nothing in logs either on
master or slaves. But zone gets updated with changes.
This is on Ubuntu 14.04 with latest package from PPA. I will send my
configs as suggested by Ondrej.
