This is hard to say. The communication mediated through CORBA
technology is quite complex and the glitch could be in many components.
Maybe you hit some bug in this particular service triggered by high
uptime. You may try to read logs for fred-adifd if you will see
something from last time this service responded to CORBA calls.

OK, in any case I'd suggest to restart both backend service (fred-
adifd) and also frontend service (fred-webadmin). If this doesn't
help we will need to investigate what is preventing the communication
of these two services. Is it running on single server or different
servers?

I am experiencing a bit of a problem here on daphne, out of
nowhere.
The FRED services have never stopped running for two months now
but
daphne puts out the following message after hitting login.
