Thanks to a massively helpful feedback, we've tackled a few issues from the first rc, namely a name compression-related bug, proper resolution of some CNAME chain loops and a couple log messages and minor annoyances. Also a small sneak peek, as to what can you expect in the final release. Upon several requests, we will add a new (sort of) feature - a memory requirements estimation tool. This should give you a rough idea about how much memory you need to load the zones or for transfers. If you have any special experience about the memory requirements of 1.3.0-rc1, please let us know, this would be immensely helpful to fine tune the estimates.
