Hello Lilian,
did you use RPM packages or source packages? What versions? This could
be incompatible version of packages fred-webadmin and fred-idl. Correct
versions for current release are fred-idl-1.10.x and
fred-webadmin-2.1.x.
I'm pretty sure that 64 bit fedora 9 is without problems but haven't
tried it yet. My 64bit box still resides on fedora 8 which is tested
(fred rpms are on in our repository).
