Hello,
for Fedora, I would recommend to use our rpm archive at
http://archive.nic.cz/yum/fred. Franck from .bi reported installation
problems of these rpms with Fedora 8, but I failed in reproducing this
problem locally. So, I hope that it works for others. You can also find
dependencies in those rpm files for the case you are looking for a list
of packages names you need to install. Except of different package
names, there shoud be no difference in Ubuntu howto and Fedora howto.

Jaromir

Thanks for this commendable piece of work on FRED, the
roadmap seems
very clear for ubuntu. Did you try this on fedora OR can you point to
areas on the roadmap that we can adapt to a a fedora installation?

There was one problem, though, with tinyerp-server, it fails. I
apparently solved that with this trick:
cp /usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/oldxml/_xmlplus/utils/boolean.so
/usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/_xmlplus/utils/
So it seems that everything is OK now.
BTW, I guess that future versions will use OpenERP which is TinyERP
succesor.....
Best regards.
