we should probably rather take this off the list to discuss this

hi there, no sir, backend is not working at all.
1.4.7.3. Launch servers
To start the FRED CORBA servers, you can use the service script or run this command:
sudo /usr/local/etc/init.d/fred-server start
To start the FRED webadmin server (Daphne), you can use the service script or run this
command:
sudo /usr/etc/init.d/fred-webadmin-server start

Jaromir,
FRED developers,
Errors on FRED backend installation seem to be causing problems and confusion for new
FRED users even though their new installations seem to have gone well. I have seen this
now for at least three new such installations in the past 3 months or so.
Current case in point is with <anantsparrow1(a)gmail.com> as copied here below who
made
a successful FRED installation but got stuck due to errors being seen on the backend. We
also saw this with .GN and others
Would it be possible then to separate the normal FRED installation from the backend
installation ?
Making such a separation would make installing FRED more "friendly" than is the
case now
since it will help avoid new FRED users getting stuck on errors they see on the backend
even
though they do not need the backend yet.
So, would it be possible for FRED developers to separate backend FRED installation from
normal FRED installation to avoid these confusions for new FRED users ?

Hi Paulos,
apparently they all managed to resolve almost all issues without our
intervention. I'm not sure what do you mean by backend FRED
installation. Current installation guide simply installs all FRED
components.
We are working on new installation guide, because current installation
guide doesn't reflect recent changes. For example, new versions of RDAP
and WebWhois is only installable via Docker images. We don't provide
binary packages for these new versions, so current installation guide
is installing older versions. I hope this new installation guide will
be generally available in couple weeks.
