Thanks Jaromir, That help was great. I now have a socket connection to the EPP server. I am aware that the XML schemas will most likely be different but I ma just looking at being able to do a simple hello to the EPP server. Once I get something there I can start to add code/patches to make it compatible. Which am still having no luck with as I am now getting an SSL error. I am hoping I might get lucky again and have had some one with the same issue. It is the same thing as last time in the SSL wraping of the socket this is what happens when I kick off the fred-client; I am able to connect to the client and get to the console.Then when I run the 'hello' command the fred-client says "Trying SSL..." and then the error (see bellow). Here is a cut and paste from my console: llinux# python2.4 ./fred-client --config=./conf/fred-client.conf FredClient 1.6.1 Type "help", "license" or "credits" for more information. Using configuration from ./conf/fred-client.conf Used socket type: IPv4. Socket timeout: 10.0 sec. Connecting to portal-ote.ausregistry.net.au, port 700 ... Connection established. Try to open SSL layer...
