How do i delete one Domain ONLY from DNS ?
I cannot find any command for this in fred-client. Is there a (python?) command for this ?
I need to do this, because when one Domain expires, we first want to delete it only from DNS, and the later delete the domain completely from the system.

We are now testing FRED in earnest and adapting our web application to it.
We would like to massively delete test contacts without waiting for the
protection period. How could that be done short of making a backup of
the BD first and then restoring?.
BTW, how can I change the protection period?.

I configured the latest FRED for the upcoming Ubuntu 9.04. Basically the
same than FRED for Hardy. One strange thing, though.
tinyerp-server does not install well. Not a FRED problem, but a
packaging or so problem when generating the corresponding .deb. I filed
a Launchpad bug and got the former tinyerp-server (for Hardy).
I documented the process. I'm sending the translated version to Jaromír
in these days.

I have 2 questions about fred-client command "technical_test".
In the documentation i read this:
"The result of the test will be saved into the message queue from where the registrant can fetch it by poll command."
My questions are:
1) Is the result of the test also saved in some of the postgresql tables ?
2) If the result isnt saved in the database, and i cant check the result from the database, then how do i use the poll command to see the result ?

We would need to update the removal period from 15 days to 2 months -
this corresponds more to our concerns.
By diggin into the configuration we foud that data was storred in the
DB and that executing this command should do the trick:
update enum_parameters set val = '60' where id = 6;
Can you please confirm that?
Do we have any more action to take?

I am trying to Install FRED but I am having many problems.
I tried the way:
./fred-manager download
./fred-manager install
./fred-manager start
and it gets the errors below:

Than I have used the other options, by adding the following source in the source.lists

Than when I do apt-get install fred-* it shows the line below:
root@ns1:~/test# apt-get install fred-*

E: Couldn't find package fred-manager
Can someone help in the process for Installing fred because I think I am stuck and I don't know what to do??

In our system (regarding Contacts) we need 2 fields:
Nationality
Country
but FRED only uses Country.
Is there any place to save both these informations ?
(This is not very important to me, i also send this as information.)

I'me testing FRED. With administrative
interface I've create a registrar I can search it but when I verify the
table registrar in databse I don't see it. Why ?
When I execute creation commands, after typing command conection "fred-client -h nic -p 22353 -u REG-FRED_A -w passwd, in console"
It sent after I fill up fields :

I press ENTER
It sent back error like :
You are not connected.
ERROR: Command data XML document failed to validate.
More details in verbose 2 or higher.
If I open ./nofred/named/cron.log there is line error:

I want to install Fred on Fedora 8. I followed instructions found on
nic.cz in intalling fred-repo and trying yum install fred-*. But, that
command installed only fred-db instead the whole package. Can somebody
help me to fix the problem? Thank you in advance for your help.
